Prior to the March 10th debut of the all new NV2500, Nissan has launched a website geared at gathering input from potential commercial vehicle buyers. On the site guests have the opportunity to fill out a request form detailing their own needs from a commercial vehicle and viewing requests and comments left by others. Launching in November of this year the NV2500 will officially see daylight at the NTEA Convention in St. Louis that runs from March 10th to 12th, stay tuned here for more details as they emerge. Request your own NV2500 here and read about the upcoming NTEA show here. As we get closer to the launch of the Nissan NV2500 commercial 'solution' vehicle we are getting more confirmation of specs and equipment, its getting exciting folks! Long rumored as the supplier for drive line components the German company ZF will be the builder for the transmission of the NV2500. Though perhaps not all that immediately recognizable, ZF has been building stout and competent drive line equipment for most of the worlds biggest vehicle manufacturers for many years and we look forward to continued reliability from their well built components. The 6 speed 'Powerline' is currently proving service in multiple vehicle lines from the Super Duty Ford pick ups to school buses and has proven to be a strong and pretty bullet proof trans. Pickup Trucks dot com reviewed the trans back in may and had great things to say, read the full review here. Already one of the most recognized names in commercial vehicles worldwide, Nissan is set to launch its commercial vehicle line here in America early in the coming new year. The NV2500, shown here, will be the first of an entire line of medium and heavy duty commercial trucks, vans and haulers that will provide incredible power and value to American business'. First shown early last year at the work truck show in Chicago the NV2500 has quickly gained praise form many fleet buyers and had been noted for its unique storage and utility features. The truck will be built right here in the States at the Canton, Miss plant which is currently undergoing a $118 million dollar expansion to handle the increase in manufacturing. Between the commercial vehicles plant and the battery plant in Tennessee thats well over a billion and a half dollars invested in growing American business and Nissan worldwide sales, yea for Nissan! Check out the EV2500 more in depth here. LeftLaneNews has some updated info here, with some pics of the test mule in testing here. Oh and yes, the Nissan Guy will be your Nissan Commercial Dealer!! |
