My friend Ricky is one awesome dude, awesome and creative too! He recently designed a tee shirt that I thought was pretty damn bitchen, so I ordered one and then I thought to myself I would love to give someone else one of these shirts too! However I am NOT about to give mine away so, I thought about ways to get creative myself and offer the chance at one of these tees to everyone I connect with online.
 
I am privileged to be connected with MANY of the auto industries best and brightest online as well as many other marketing and thought leaders but; I wanted to see WHERE we are connected. So here’s the deal, I will post a quest here on my blog and I would like you to answer it in as many different places online that we are connected as you can find…. I didn't say it was going to be a piece of cake now did I? One of my goals is to expose some of you to new forums, sites etc that you haven’t seen before and maybe some of you will find one that you end up liking what you find. I love sharing you see and it would be pretty cool if this lil exercise helped you find a site that you end up liking and getting a lot from.  Along with that is the benefit of increasing my network as you find me in places you end up joining and interacting with me in; the more the merrier I say!

2) Now find me in as many places as you can and paste it WITH the answer! For those of you who aren't sure of the answer, poke around this site a little and it will come to you!

3)  Keep track of all the places you post it and list them in the comments section here (ie: Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, TruePro etc) BEFORE midnight on Wednesday February 27, 2013. Often times in conversations both online and in person people tell me “you should have a blog” and mostly I just mumble back, “who would want to read this old car guys rambles?” I rarely take the time to explain that I DO have a blog; I just don’t keep it up as much as I could. I follow so many great folks both in my own industry, the car business, and other folks that are leaders in marketing and media and across the boards everyone seems to say the same thing; know who your audience and speak to them. Well, therein lays the crux I guess, I’m still not sure exactly WHO would read my writings? Sometimes I want to write about the experiences I have had in the car business working for car dealerships and I think, who would read that? Although sometimes humorous, my car biz stories wouldn't really be informative per say. Other times I feel compelled to share some awesome training tips but the think about how many ‘actual’ sales trainers there are with really great things to share and stop myself. I consider myself pretty much of an expert on early 80’s New Wave music but c’mon, does the world need yet another music blog?! I’m a Big fan of racing in all forms but as a Sales Manager for a car dealership time is something that limits my ability to follow racing well enough to write about it competently and though I grew up living for the next wave but I haven’t actually paddled out into the surf in years so blogging about surfing is out….
So my goal is to find myself so to speak, figure out who I want to talk to and then start talking! If you have checked out this lil rant page and even kinda like the stuff you see, please check back again soon and follow along as I try and figure this stuff out and really make a go of this blog of mine!
