 Today starts one of the most incredible and interesting events in automobilia, the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Taking place on a private estate in England the festival is known for its amazing collections of the most fantastic vehicles in the world and being able to actually watch them in action as they race up a winding road that snakes thru the grounds. No, I havent been able to make it over there yet, but I will ONE OF THESE YEARS DAMN IT! Ah hem, anyways... this year there are a number of sites keep us up to date with the goings on and here are a couple worth checking out. Updated video posted direct from each days events HERE.  As you know my Friday Carporn pics are just random car shots that jump out at me when I stumble on them and I like to share them here once a week. Sometimes its the angle of the car, the action shown or maybe just the incredible beauty like todays shot. The simply gorgeous shot at the left comes courtesy of one of my favorite car picture tumblrs, CarClippings 2010. I was scrolling thru hundreds of pics and this one stopped me cold, like a strong hand clamping around my heart! Those 6 Webbers, 2 distributors and a mile of blood red cam cover..... oh mama.... Yes i know its my heritage that makes me so susceptible to these beautiful red heads but its MY site so just deal with it and enjoy the view! ;) We got the shock of a life time today with visit by Kia President Byung Mo Ahn; yes thats right THE Group President and CEO, Kia Motors America & Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia! HELLO!!! It seems our awesome success has got the attention of everyone and he stopped in personally to offer his congratulations to our owner David Choi. He arrived in the much talked about but yet seen here in America, 2011 Kia Cadenza! Of course the Fleet Guy snapped some super cool shots just for my friends! Take a look:       |
