So lets say you are the Shell Oil Corp and you want to make a super bitchen commercial that really showcases your oil and how it actually cleans as it lubricates... You have a super big budget and a real fancy ad agency so what kind of car do you have made completely out of clear acrylic? A Ferrari you say, perhaps a Lambo or something even more exotic like a Spyker? No, not cool enough I say, I say we use a crystal clear, working life size Nissan 370Z! Yeah you knew where this was goin, it is a Nissan site after all! Click the link for the commercial itself which is pretty cool, but theres also a REALLY cool 3 minute video about making the car and functional engine. Its worth a click! Source: AutoBlog

I don’t think Nissan realizes that its Black History Month here in the states cause they are making the new 370Z 40th Anniversary ‘Black’ Edition available only in Europe! Hullooooooo! I’m pretty sure it was us here in America that totally made the whole ‘Z’ car franchise such a wildly successful line for Datsun/Nissan! I think the ole Nissan higher ups need to be giving props were day due, holla! Just sayin… More about the Black we don’t get to celebrate here. Ok, not exactly today, but it WAS 40 years ago this month that the Nissan Z car legend was born. Thats right, 40 short years ago you could purchase yourself an authentic, pure performance sports car for a mere $3,626.00! With the celebrations of the legend come many newsworthy items. First up the just announced 40th Anniversary edition 370Z, to be released in the spring of 2010;details and some great pics here. Next up is the newest member of the Z tuners family, Germany's Senner Tuning and their 'Whitelady Z' which will be shown at this years SEMA show which you can see here. I am sure with all the history of the Z there are sure to be many more Z related stories, mods, kits, races ect. so be sure to check back often for all the newest Z news! |
