Spring Cleaning At Your Dealership...

Spring cleaning is a time to declutter your physical spaces and it can also be a time to declutter your dealership’s physical activities too! By taking the time to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, you can free up your team to focus on more important tasks, improve customer service, and boost your bottom line.
Here are a few tips for streamlining your store’s workflows:

Work with your teams in each department and assess your current processes. Take a close look at each step in your business processes, from start to finish. For example, ask one of your service advisors to walk you through the vehicle check-in process and writing a repair order. Ask a parts counter person to show you how they open a counter ticket or perhaps submit a parts order to the OEM. Sit with a salesperson and have them show you how fast they can input a customer’s info into the CRM and push it to the DMS. Ask yourself the following questions:
- Is this step necessary?
- Can this step be automated?
- Can this step be simplified?
- Can this step be delegated to someone else?
Identify bottlenecks. Once you've assessed your current processes, look for any steps that are causing delays or inefficiencies. Bottlenecks can occur at any point in a process, so it's important to be thorough in your search.
Implement changes. Once you've identified areas for improvement, it's time to implement changes. This may involve making changes to your processes, retraining your existing processes, or even investing in technology.
Monitor your progress. Once you've implemented changes, it's important to monitor your progress to ensure that they're having the desired effect. Always remember if it is worth doing it’s worth measuring! If you're not seeing the results you want, you may need to make further adjustments.
Be open to input from your team. Your team members are the ones who are actually working in the trenches, so they're in the best position to identify areas for improvement. Make sure to get their input when you're assessing your current processes and implementing changes.

Streamlining your dealership’s workflows can be a complex task, but it's worth the effort. By taking the time to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, you can free up your team to focus on more important tasks, improve customer service, and boost your bottom line.

GaGa For Google Local Guides...

Are you a Google Local Guide? If not, you might want to consider becoming one. Being a Local Guide has numerous benefits, not just for you, but also for the community around you. Recently, I received an email stating that I'm in the top 10% of contributors in the Riverside-San Bernardino area, and I couldn't be more thrilled. It's not just about the recognition though, being a Local Guide has been a fun and rewarding experience!
One of the best parts about being a Local Guide is knowing that my contributions are helping local businesses. Last year alone, my photos and reviews helped 278 locations, mostly small and local businesses. By posting pictures and writing reviews, I am helping these businesses gain more visibility and exposure on Google Maps, which can ultimately help them attract more customers. In fact, pictures that I have uploaded on Google Maps Reviews have been viewed over 100 million times, and I'm proud of that number.
But the benefits don't stop there. As a vendor in the automotive space, I have found that being a Local Guide has given me added value. By sharing pictures of car dealerships, for example, I have helped increase their visibility and reach on Google Maps. Some of the dealer pics I have shared have even reached 3 to 5 million views!
