.Yes, usurped IS a word as a matter of damn fact... Yeah, Google it my friend and you will find this; "assume: seize and take control without authority and possibly with force; take as one's right or possession." Under that definition you will see a second meaning listed also, "What the Ferrari 599 GTO did to the Nissan GT-R" ! Really, it says that! And I'm actually ok with it! I know I am the Nissan Guy but being of the land of prancing ponies my heart beats along with the melodic rhythms of the mystic 12 cylinders under the bonnet of the amazing red vixen that stars in the video seen here. Be warned, this clip is as close to 'car porn' as you can safely watch at work but go ahead, you have to watch it, at least once! For those not quite as car crazed as myself here is the english translation: the new Ferrari 599 GTO just set a lap record at the very famous German race course know as Nürburgring. The course has long been THE standard by which the worlds finest motorcars are tested and ranked by lap times. Last year Nissan claimed the throne and started some what of a Supercar World War. Well, white flags are being unfurled on all continents.... and its ok because when you watch the video you simply will not be able to hold any grudge! Its beautiful man, just beautiful.... sniff..... I'm NOT crying, shut up! CLICK HERE:

I will see you there! ;) Just like a typical spoiled little sister would behave, the marketing folks at Infinity have determined that when they release their version of the all electric LEAF it should be more 'Infinity esque'! Recently, U.S. officials of Infiniti reviewed initial designs at Nissan's San Diego styling studio and complained that they simply looked like another version of the Leaf, say people who were there. The United States will be the Infiniti model's largest market. Ben Poore, vice president of the North American Infiniti Business Unit, says more recent designs have corrected the problem. "I was in Japan last week and saw the final three or four designs for the car," Poore says. "And I can tell you without a doubt that we're going to have a uniquely Infiniti product." I happen to like the LEAF how it is now but when Infinity shows up to the electric party and theirs looks like the Essence... Well, I will be jumpin on board THAT train! Read the full monty at AutoWeek. After a long and tiring search, GM has finally given up on finding a buyer for their step child division Hummer. Near agreements were had and lost with a Chinese heavy equipment company but terms could not get fully worked out so GM is pulling the plug, much to the disappointment of the cats of Jersey Shore. In a related story, albeit the worst timed debut ever, Geigercars has just released details for their new H2Bomber Kit! I guess if your gonna go out in style, whats more stylish than a full set 'o tracks! Click here for some pics and fading dreams.... Once again the ole Nissan Guy was ahead of the curve, Nissan today confirmed the rumors reported here almost a week ago! From the official press release: Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, said: “The Renault-Nissan Alliance knows how to work successfully in collaborative partnerships, and this experience is extremely valuable in today’s and even more tomorrow’s global auto industry. This agreement will extend our strategic collaboration and create lasting value for the Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler as we work on broadening and strengthening our product offering, efficiently utilizing all available resources and developing the innovative technologies required in the coming decade.” Not sure what all that translates to here on the lot but if it means and AMG edition Maxima I'm all in! Read the whole boring thing here... did I type boring out loud?? Mondays usually kinda suck, as I work weekends its less from having to come back to work than having a ton of paperwork and details to clean up from the weekends sales... Today however as I was getting going I stumbled on this really awesome commercial filmed for Nissan of Canada and its a MUST SEE TV click! First they rocked the Winter Olympics and now they rock a Nissan Commercial! Whats next, they gonna show us how health care can be done right too? Oh yeah, they did that already.... Well I am just happy someone is giving the lil SE-R the props it deserves! Take a moment and watch, its well worth it I assure you, and Happy Monday! ;) Nissan has (finally) released pricing for the much anticipated new all electric Leaf, in a recent press release they had this to said the Leaf base MSRP will be$32,780 in the United States and we will begin taking orders on April 20. When combined with a $7,500 federal tax credit, the Leaf will be priced at $25,280. State and local credits can further reduce the cost to consumers; here in So Cal actual net pricing could be as low as the $23,000.00 range. There are also tax credits and local rebates for the home charging units as well. With current cost conversions the price to 'fill up' your LEAF could be under $3.00! Yes, I do have an interest list put together already, why do you ask? ;) Email me to get your name on it and keep checking here for up to date info! |
