Nissan is getting set to inject some serious stimulus into the economy of Tennessee, as mush as $1 billion dollars worth! According to Andy Palmer, senior Vice-President and Head of Planning for Nissan, most of the $1.6 billion that Nissan received recently for zero emission vehicle development will be invested into the Smyrna, Tennessee battery production plant. Hoping to be producing up to 15,000 vehicles per year at the facility by 2012, Nissan is sure doing their best to add jobs and some much needed cash flow here in the US.
